Looking to the future with Kyle Widener

This name might not be unfamiliar, but he might not look the exact same as you see him on stage. Mahomet Seymour recent graduate Kyle Widener has been involved in drama club through the high school and junior high since 6th grade!

Widener says his favorite show he’s been involved in is ¨Into The Woods¨

¨That show was really challenging and pushed me to be the best performer I could possibly be. I also learned more about me as I learned about my character.¨

This year, Mahomet is performing ¨Cauldron Bubble¨ with Kyle acting as Spencer, a sassy, head strong student director. Kyle is excited for this role because of the dramatics and opportunity to show off his range of acting. And we can’t wait to see how it turns out!

Kyle is planning on attending a 4 year university to study vocal performance!

He is also involved in Madrigals, Freshman Mentor Program , Interact Club, Tri-m, Thespian officers, and Marching Band

Kyle says, ¨The drama club at MSHS is my favorite. I have been in every show since 6th grade and have worked my way up to become Thespian Officer president. I’m also the art crew chair for multiple shows and love every minute of it .¨

Kyles senior session had a special guest!

¨Ellie is my best friend and I love her more than anything else. She loves me unconditionally, too.¨

In his free time, Kyle likes to swim and watch horror movies with his friends. He decided to have his pictures taken in the beginning of fall because, ¨It is not too hot but also not too cold. Also the leaves are really pretty.¨
