you’ll want multiple senior sessions after Jordan shares about his experience.

Sometimes, one session is not enough to capture ALL of who your senior is. Two, or maybe 3 is a better option if your child is super involved in high school, or has a lot of hobbies they want to showcase. Jordan Veldman is a perfect example of why your child might need more than one session. In high school, Jordan was involved in three major sports: baseball, basketball, and football. We did three different sessions so we could capture all of who Jordan was.

When I asked Jordan why he wanted to do three sessions he said…

“I didn’t have to cram everything I wanted in…it would’ve been difficult to use one session to capture all three sports as well as having pictures of just myself in dress clothes.”

Jordan also said, “I’m not great with the attention being on me and Heather was able to combat that with her awesome smile and personality! She also did a great job asking questions and getting to know you, she really cared about me as a person instead of just taking my photo and leaving it at that.”

Students can really incorporate so much of their passion and personality when doing multiple shoots

“Although baseball is my favorite sport, the shoot for football holds a special place because I took them the morning before my senior night. So as I was up early and taking pictures on the field, I was able to take in the atmosphere and the environment of being on that field by myself for the last time. I had a lot of emotions that day and I loved the pictures she captured that day.”

That’s why I LOVE doing multiple sessions. The opportunity to really get to know students, and understand how much they love what they do. I could tell how much Jordan was going to miss football and basketball.

When asked what these photos mean to him, Jordan said, “They captured my senior year and they bring back all my memories of my high school career in not only sports, but all my friendships throughout Mahomet. They instill so much emotion, and I love being able to go through them with my loved ones.”

If you or your child is involved in multiple sports, clubs, or has many hobbies then I recommend doing multiple sessions.

Where is he now?

Jordan is playing baseball at Olivet Nazarene and majoring in accounting. He loves what he’s doing and where he is. Jordan said the most important thing he learned in high school was, “to not worry about what others think about you. When you wrap your mind around this lesson, you choose friends based off what is best for YOU and not anyone else… not caring about what others think was a big step in my faith. When you don’t worry about being judged or persecuted for your beliefs, you make major strides in your faith and how well you can spread the Gospel.”
