Small Business Spotlight…
Yup, it’s new here at SLP and I’m going to make this a regular thing. During the shelter in place, my goal is to be able to share a different business weekly and then after that my plan is to do it on a monthly basis. And it’s gonna be a whole lot of fun. It will probably continue to evolve but the plan so far is to share information via my blog (as I’m doing here) and following it up with an Instagram Takeover.
What is an Instagram Takeover?
Well, I’m glad you asked. Since we’ve been sheltering in place, I’ve been inviting teens I have photographed to share a day in the life of a teen in quarantine. Those have been so well received that I decided why just stop at teens?! Right now local businesses could use our help more than ever and I wondered how can I help?
Well, I have a lot of faithful followers who consistently watch the SLP IG stories so I figured why not invite local businesses to share a day in their life with SLP fans.
Each business will be sharing photos and videos about how they spend their day, personally and professionally and give you an opportunity to ask questions (pick an entrepreneur’s brain with business questions or ask fun stuff).
And here’s something exciting for all you cool cats and kittens… when each business takes over, in addition to sharing more about themselves and their business, they will also be providing an opportunity to buy one of a kind and/or discounted items, offer exclusive discounts to my SLP fans, giveaway items and more. Each person will offer something differently but every business will certainly REWARD you by tuning in.
How awesome is that?! Oh yeah!!!!
How will I know when to watch IG stories?
Well, that’s a trick question cause you should be watching them every day. duh.
Watch Sweet Lemonade Photography Instagram Stories every Wednesday (starting next week) through the end of May for small business spotlight takeovers.
If SLP fans love this new concept of introducing you to other locally owned businesses and more importantly getting to know the people behind the business then we will continue these takeovers on a monthly basis.
When do the takeovers start?
Mary with Winderson’s Creations, located in Sangamon on Main in Mahomet, will be our first business takeover next Wednesday, April 29th.
